Policies

We appreciate your business, and to provide the best services to all of our clients, we ask that you please read through our policies so you are fully aware of how bookings, fees, etc. work before you book with us. If you have any questions regarding whether any of these policies apply to your particular session type, please contact us for further information.

NOTE: ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

  • Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To provide quality service to all of our clients and minimize expenses, maintaining scheduled appointments is crucial. We acknowledge the possibility of timetable changes due to unanticipated events; therefore, we ask that you please follow our scheduling policy.

(1) Failure to provide at least 72 hours (3 days) notice for cancellations/rescheduling a session/consultation, arriving more than 15 minutes late, or no-calls/no-shows will result in your deposit forfeit. You will have to reschedule and place a new non-refundable deposit down.

(2) Arriving without the proper identification, inebriated, under the influence of drugs, or otherwise unfit for tattooing, or requesting excessive or last-minute changes to the design or concept will result in your deposit forfeit. You will have to reschedule and place a new non-refundable deposit down.

(3) Leaving during a session or opting not to get inked at all (considered canceled) will result in your deposit forfeit. You will have to reschedule and place a new non-refundable deposit down.

(4) No Calls/No Shows will result in your deposit forfeit. You will have to reschedule and place a new non-refundable deposit down. If you are a no call/no show for a third time, you will no longer be able to book any appointments with us.

(5) A session may be rescheduled or canceled at any time by us, and in the unlikely event this should happen, you will be contacted as soon as possible so we can reschedule your session at no charge to you.

  • Tattoo Configuration Policy

    We shall not reproduce any custom tattoo design (flash excluded) out of respect to the original artist and client. If you have a design in mind that you want, please show us, and we will design something inspired by or comparable to that piece. Not every request will be appropriate for us since we want to ensure that every client has the greatest tattoo possible. At your consultation, we will inform you if this is the case. Since we believe it is your responsibility to determine which artist will best meet your objectives and provide you with the finest design possible, we do not offer artist recommendations.

  • Touch-up Policy

    After your initial session, you must wait 30 days before you can schedule a touch-up. After that, you will have 30 days (60 days from your session date) to schedule your free touch-up. The hands, fingers, and feet are examples of non-guaranteed body parts that may require multiple touch-ups due to their location and ability to heal. Non-guaranteed body parts will be touched up at the discretion of your artist. Touch-ups will be completed no earlier than 30 days following your initial session and cannot be completed until the tattoo has completely healed. Touch-ups, which are necessary because of a client's carelessness or inability to follow aftercare instructions, will be charged a shop minimum of $50.00. Any wanted alterations made to the initial tattoo that was agreed upon will be charged as a new tattoo and will not be regarded as a touch-up.

  • Refund Policy

    REFUNDS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.

    INK Tattoos & Permanent Makeup Studio will strive to resolve any issues you have after your session, provided you contact us within 30 days of your initial session. Should you choose not to reach out or decline your free touch-up, INK Tattoos & Permanent Makeup Studio will consider the matter resolved, and no further action will be taken. To determine the most effective remedy, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options.

  • Guest Policy

    Your visitors are permitted to come along with you when you get inked and will be asked to wait in the lounge. If at any time they are disrupting or acting unruly, they will be asked to leave the premises out of consideration for the other clients and artists who need to concentrate on their work. At no point throughout the tattooing process are children or minors allowed in the tattooing area. Note that even a minor in the lobby area with adult supervision may view or hear adult language or adult-related content. Please do not bring in anyone under the age of 13.

  • Pets Policy

    NO PETS ARE ALLOWED. Service Animals are always welcome and must be supervised AT ALL TIMES outside of the procedure room and wait in the lobby area. If the dog is not being kept under control, you will be asked to take the dog off the premises. Please plan accordingly. 

  • Inclement Weather Policy

    Living in Iowa can lead to businesses closing during inclement weather. For the safety of our clients and artists, we will automatically be closed and all sessions rescheduled if we determine that the weather is not safe to travel in. In such cases, you will be contacted to reschedule your session at no cost to you.
