Do you do walk-ins?
Yes, walk-ins are available if there is an available artist. Stop in or call/text to check if there is an artist available.
Can a minor get a tattoo/cosmetic tattoo session? What about if the minor has parental consent?
No, in Iowa, a person must be at least 18 years of age to get a tattoo, regardless of parental consent. We will soon be offering temporary tattoos for minors.
How much does it cost to get a tattoo? Why are tiny tattoos and permanent makeup so expensive? What is the pricing for a small tattoo?
Regardless of its size, the shop minimum is $50, with prices increasing based on multiple factors such as size, the estimated time to complete, and the need for multiple sessions. The exact price will be determined during your consultation between you and your artist. We are not a quick-service facility like fast food or a convenience store. Our artists take time and care to create your designs. For permanent makeup, precision and gentleness are key when working on small, sensitive areas.
Is there a deposit required?
There is a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required for any service.
Is a consultation required for permanent makeup? a tattoo? If so, how can I schedule one?
A consultation is nessessary for custom tattoos. Flash, Get What You Get, and permanent makeup sessions do not require consultations.
What forms of payment do you take?
We take cash only.
Is there anything I should do to prepare for my tattoo or permanent makeup session?
Please take a moment to review our "Pre-Session” page, which provides essential information to ensure you are fully prepared for your session before you come in.
What should I bring with me to my tattoo or permanent makeup session?
When you arrive for your session, please ensure you have your valid ID and payment ready. Please note that no food or drinks are allowed in the procedure room.
Is it okay for me to bring someone with me to my session?
You may bring only one person with you to your session, as space is limited. Both you and your guest must be free from illness and must not have been sick within the past 10 days. If you are sick or have been sick within the past 10 days, you must reschedule your session within our policy guidelines, or you forfeit your deposit as we will cancel your session if we believe you are showing symptoms of illness. You will need to reschedule and place another deposit down. See our "Policies" page for more details.
Is it okay for me to use numbing cream before my tattoo session?
The use of numbing cream is not recommended without discussing it during your consultation with your artist because certain numbing creams have been associated with adverse skin texture changes, potentially compromising the desired outcome. That being said, we do offer tattoo numbing which needs to be added as a service when booking your session in person. If you arrive with an unapproved numbing cream already administered, your session will be forfeited, resulting in your deposit forfeit. You will need to schedule another session if this happens and you will need to place another deposit down. See our "Policies" page for more details. Please arrive an hour before your scheduled session to have your numbing cream applied and you will wait in the lobby while you are numbing.
Can I use numbing cream before I come in for my permanent makeup session?
No! During your session, numbing cream will be applied multiple times. Please refrain from applying numbing cream before your appointment to avoid overexposure. We want to ensure the best results for your session. Should you arrive with numbing cream already applied, unfortunately, your session will be forfeited, resulting in your deposit forfeit. Additionally, rescheduling will be necessary and a new deposit will be required. See our "Policies" page for more details.
If I need to reschedule or cancel, what should I do?
There is a link in your confirmation email/text that you may use if you need to reschedule or cancel. It is important to note that if you do not adhere to our scheduling policy guidelines, your deposit will be forfeit. See our "Policies" page for more details.
What happens if I am more than 15 minutes late?
Should you arrive more than 15 minutes late or are a no-show, your session will be cancelled and deposit forfeited and you will need to reschedule your session and a new deposit put down. See our "Policies" page for more details.
Do you do tattoo cover-ups?
Cover-ups will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Do I get a touch-up with my tattoo? Permanent makeup?
Tattoos: The hands, fingers, and feet are examples of non-guaranteed body parts that may require multiple touch-ups due to their location and ability to heal. Touch-ups for non-guaranteed body parts will be at the discretion of your artist.
Permanent Makeup: Most of our permanent makeup services include a free 6-week touch-up. Each service listed has that information in the description.
Are there any areas of the body where you will not tattoo? Are there any tattoo subjects you will not do? Will you copy a tattoo I saw online?
We will not tattoo any area that would be covered by underwear, a bikini for women, or a speedo for men, inside the mouth, eyes, or ears. The hands, fingers, and feet are examples of non-guaranteed body parts that may require multiple touch-ups due to their location and ability to heal. Therefor tattooing these areas and touch-ups for non-guaranteed body parts will be at the discretion of your artist.
We will not copy any picture or tattoo you bring in, excluding flash and phrases. Please do not ask. You may bring in pictures of something you would like, and we will design a similar piece just for you.
We will not make any offensive tattoos. Please do not ask for anything that depicts hate speech, illegal activities, etc. We do not tattoo anything that discriminates against religion, race, or gender or is controversial.
What if I want to change my design?
If you arrive for your session and decide that the design you and your artist agreed upon during your consultation needs a major change, you will need to schedule a new session, and your deposit forfeit for that session so that the artist can redraw your design and you will need to schedule a new session which will require a new deposit. Who should avoid getting a tattoo or permanent makeup?
For your safety, we will not provide services to anyone pregnant or nursing, ill, or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you show up to your session under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will forfeit your session and your deposit forfeit. See our "Policies" page for more details.
If you have any known health or skin conditions, please discuss them with us during your consultation. Examples of health conditions include compromised immune systems, taking blood thinners, skin infections, or bleeding disorders. In such cases, it is best to consult with your doctor before deciding to get a tattoo or permanent makeup. During the session, we will be creating an open wound. If you have any active skin conditions, such as psoriasis, sunburn, eczema, or any open wounds in the area to be treated, please wait until they are no longer active. If you have any questions, please consult your dermatologist.
If you've recently had surgery, please wait until you've fully recovered and given approval by your physician.
If you are aware of any allergies to tattoo inks or other products used during our services, please inform us during your consultation so that we can explore alternative options.
We retain the right to decline our services to any individual who fails to communicate known risks and presents a skin condition that prohibits us from performing the scheduled service, as a result of undisclosed information. In such instances, the scheduled session will be cancelled, and the deposit forfeit. See our "Policies" page for more details.
What kind of ink do you use?
Tattoo Ink: We exclusively use World Famous Tattoo Inks because they are the only tattoo ink manufacturing company in the United States with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485 medical device level certification, and their inks are vegan. We believe in using high-quality inks from this company because they adhere to the same high standards that we have for providing you with a top-notch tattoo. Occasionally, if an individual requires a different kind of ink, we also use Dynamic Ink.
Permanent Makeup Ink: We currently use PermaBlend inks because they meet the same standard as World Famous Tattoo Inks.
Do you touch up old tattoos or permanent makeup?
Touchups are done on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of your artist.
Do you offer flash tattoos, and if so, what is the cost?
Yes, we do and prices vary.
Can scars or stretch marks be covered by a tattoo or permanent makeup?
Please bring up this topic with us at your consultation if you plan to have cover scars or stretch marks. Depending on the state of your skin, the healing period and final appearance of these procedures can vary.
Do you offer piercings?
We will be doing earlobe piercing only in the near future.
How should I care for my tattoos or permanent makeup?

Are there any risks associated with tattoos or permanent makeup procedures?
Risks, both known and unknown, can cause injury, including but not limited to infection, scarring, difficulties detecting melanoma, and allergic reactions to ink pigment, latex gloves, and/or soap. For additional information, visit our "Risks" page.
Can I get a refund?
No, we do not offer refunds, and we are NOT responsible for mistakes, mishaps, oopsies, or any other term you would like to use to describe our artwork not lining up due to your movements during your tattoo session, including but not limited to regular moving, coughing, sneezing, yanking yourself, pulling away from the artist, tightening up the area being tattooed, etc.
